The Prague-based singer songwriter and RBMA alumna shares a special mix of stark and brave odes to modern living.
Sara Vondraskova’s music as Never Sol is stark and brave. At times, her songs veer into David Lynch territory: Full-bodied, thick and eerie. Other times, spare and open – just her voice, and a few carefully placed instrumental flourishes. It sounds like you’re locked in a room with just her – but not in a creepy way. When she’s not probing emotional wounds with her music, the Prague-based Vondraskova is studying the “theory of culture” at university, and you can hear a philosophical bent in her music, which manages to be down-to-earth while simultaneously tackling big ideas.
